A variation of Phormium tenax which deep purple leaves. It grows a little smaller and slow than regular P. tenax reaching 2m x 2m. We've found it to be more robust than other purple P. tenax cultivars. It's tolerant of most soil conditions, wind and frost. Colour will be more purple in full sun. It will flower like regular flax.
