Grass like groundcover with dark green strappy evergreen leaves. Grows up to 40cm high. Very useful as a filler as it tolerates full sun to full shade. Pretty spikes of deep purple flowers from late summer to autumn. Will tolerate drought especially in shade. Prefers a fertile soil so add compost when planting and mulch with bark. Very cold hardy down to minus 15 celsius.
