Olearia nummulariifolia is tough plant that grows in subalpine regions of New Zealand. This evergreen shrub has relatively small leathery yellow/green leaves that help it tolerate frosty, windy and dry conditions. This robust shrub creates good structure in the garden with little maintenance. It can reach 3m in height and 2m in width but tough conditions will half its size. Daisy flowers are produced in summer providing sustenance to native bees, moths and many other insect species. If needed trim lightly after flowering to create shape or maintain a smaller size. Needs full sun and good drainage.
