This beautiful deciduous grass is a worthy addition to any garden. An upright grass with leaves growing to 90cm high by 60cm wide. In early summer feathery plumes are held above the leaves reaching 1.5m high. These plumes are held throughout winter looking very attractive covered with frost in the low winter sun. Plant in sun - part shade in a moist but well drained fertile soil. Tolerant of wind by plumes may break in high winds. Cut down to soil level dead grass and plumes in August to make way for fresh growth. Hardy to -20c.
