Common/Maori name(s): The scented tree daisy
A reliable shrub for growing in Central Otago. Very tolerant of frost, drought and high winds. The grey leaves are small and the stems are twiggy but O. odorata will bush up into a dense thicket like shrub 3m high by 3m wide. Small white flowers in spring will produce a sweet scent which are vital to endemic moths.
