A tough reliable shrub makes up a large portion of local scrub land. Can grow to 5m high by 2.5m wide but tolerates heavy pruning. Tolerant of a wide range of soils including wet and dry. Tolerant of wind and hard frost. Is an important source of berries to birds in autumn.
