Endemic to New Zealand coasts, happy in dry and exposed conditions. Grown mainly for attractive grey green evergreen foliage on red stems. In spring small red flowers appear. Can grow up to 50 cm- 1m high and wide. Grow in full sun, well drained sandy or stony soil is a must. Hardy to frost. Wear gloves when handling as it will produce an irritating sap when damaged.
