Fuscospora cliffortioides PB6.5

$10.00

Common/Maori name(s): tawhairauriki , Mountain Beech

This native tree was the predominant tree species of the Queentsown lakes district, pre-human settlement. Remnant stands of trees can be found, many in Glenorchy. A beautiful tree that tolerates the drier, less fertile and colder conditions better than other beech trees. Grows to 15m tall but is slow growing after reaching a height of 2-3m. Very tough when established but young trees under 2m high need some care to protect from hard winds, drought, frost and full sun.

Height of grade at sale: 80cm
